A Rough 2 Days

So I guess it is time to vent!!!! Saturday evening as I'm just laying on the couch I start having some small contractions, no biggie. I just figured they were Braxton Hicks from what I've read. My back pain was horrific though, I could barely walk. Anyways these little contractions continued but grew in number! So finally on Monday I called into my nurse just to see what she thought ... they next thing I know she is telling me to go to L and D. Ok remember here this is my first pregnancy and I know nothing! So I have to tell her sorry ma'am but what is L and D. Labor and Delivery she chuckled. I was shocked because I was thinking I would just go in to the doctor's office and she would check me out. At the hospital???? I questioned! Yes sweetie she told me just go in and go to the admittance office to be admitted then you will go to the 4th floor. Next question so do I go to ER to do that?? She was so patient with me thank goodness and explained where to go. My next phone call was to Daniel who had just made it out to the lake to do some long awaited fishing! I'll be right there baby was his response! :) Well I get all checked in and go up to the nurse's desk on the 4th floor and the cute little nurse says so are you in labor? LOL Well if I am I'm not supposed to be was my response. She showed me to my room and got me situated. But she couldn't help from going on and on about how she couldn't believe I was only 25 weeks!! I just looked like I had to be further along and by my belly measurements. No cutie I'm just 25 weeks! Anyways she got me all hooked up to monitors where we could hear Cade's heartbeat and him moving all around. The monitors would also mark any of the contractions. After about an hour of this she came back and said the doctor was fine with my stats but wanted her to check my cervix. She warned me that as long as I hadn't dilated I could go home. Thank goodness I had not dilated! She told me I was having uterine irritability contractions. Basically she just said that as long as they didn't increase in pain or number that everything would be ok. She said to drink lots of water. So back home I went still having major back pain and contractions! :) Then to top it all off I think I had caught a stomach bug from my dad and was very sick last night!

Today started a new day right .... contractions are way better but still major back pain. But just suck it up right! Well we've been doing some remodeling at the house. We expanded our bedroom closet so that Daniel could put his clothes in there and out of Cade's room to be. We started this process when I got out for Christmas break and at last today I was going to move our clothes back into the closet, so I thought! Daniel had decided to give fishing a try again (poor thing) and repeatedly told me just to take it easy. But that is VERY hard for me to do when there is stuff to be done! So I'm just working away and nearly have all my clothes back into the closet when all of a sudden the freakin' brackets holding the clothes rod pull out of the wall and tumbles down on me. Oh and of course there was a shelf on top of the brackets that hadn't been fastened down that also whacked me right and the head and broke into. That was it!!! I had a major melt down and just screamed and cried. Why couldn't anything just be simple??? So poor Daniel who is out trying to fish gets a phone call from his hysterical wife screaming and crying about the stupid closet! Several hours have passed now and I'm a bit more calm just have a headache! Daniel finished fishing and is now gone to Sam's to buy some sort of closet system that doesn't have to attach to the wall. My poor husband is probably ready to pull his hair out but would never say a word. I am truly blessed! Well I hear the garage door so he is back let me go check out this closet system... I'll be sure to tell ya how it turns out! On a serious note just pray for me and Cade, our health and this whole pregnancy!

Oh honey! You have had quite a couple of days, haven't you?! I'm glad you're ok, though! The nurse was right. Uterine irritability is usually due to dehydration, so drink up, girlie! Hang in there!
