What's Happening

Well things have finally calmed down a bit and I have a little time to update everyone! Cade is now 4 weeks old! The past few weeks have been rough but things are settling down. Where to begin... the Friday after we went home I went and had my staples removed and everything looked good. I just had the steri-strips to support my incision. I was really amazed at how well I was feeling and was able to get around without any problems. That weekend was Easter weekend and of course the family wanted to see Cade. So that morning we went over to my sister in laws, Beth, for breakfast. We had homemade waffles, yummy! While we were there Brooke, my neice, took some pictures of Cade.

Isn't he precious! Later that day we had lunch at my mom's and my family from Sulphur Springs came in. We had 5 generations together! Here is some pictures from that.

Then to sum up the next couple of weeks...Daniel and I both got the crud and did what we could to keep Cade from getting it! If that wasn't rough enough my incision came open in the middle and for the next week and a half it had to be packed and cleaned twice a day. Well my stomach couldn't handle that so my close friend Lindsay who is a nurse came over twice a day to do it. Now that is a great friend! At my next doctor's visit it had healed well enough for her to stitch it up and then just this week she removed the stitches and we are down to just steri-strips! I'm ready for this incision to be totally healed!

Brooke is such an awesome photographer! Here are some more pictures that she came over and took.

With all that being said...we are doing great! Daniel and I are enjoying our new bundle of joy. He has so much personality already. We love just to sit and watch his expression. It really makes you wonder what he could possibly be thinking!

I love the Easter pic too ! ! He is a darling.....would love to hold and love on him...and hear him try to talk to you....he is so squeezable.....
Loved seeing you at the Potpourri house....it did Joyce wonders to see your smiling face and get your hugs....she is trying to do her very best for the awards...
It won't be long before he is 8 or 10 and you will go into his room one nite and see him so peaceful and wonder where did the years go?....Make the years count (as I know you will), they go fast....
Love you

Hey guys! I am so glad to see an update on here. Cade is the cutest little thing. Can't wait to snuggle the little guy in person. Hope you feel better soon Wendy. C sections are just no fun:( Keep the pictures coming! At least we can watch him grow up from a distance. We are all doing great. 3.5 months to go until baby Aven arrives. Can't wait to watch them play together!
